If God would reveal Himself so that everyone could know where He was, no one would be wicked for fear of punishment.
This "goodness'" however, would not be from the love of right, nor from the love in their hearts which alone is life - but only out of fear of punishment.
Thus the "motive" of goodness would be destroyed.
We would be "good" because we would be afraid to be bad.
The motive for the good behavior would be fear and the selfish preservation of life - not the love of Truth
The Truth thus "laid bare" would make us afraid and render us unable to enter into Truth in the right spirit, robbing it of its value.
Christ spoke in parables so as to avoid speaking the plain Truth to those who as yet had no Truth in them-so that the Truth might be revealed in "secret" to those not yet taught by their own understanding.

Can you see the Wisdom of God ?
Isn't that the true state of some of you skeptics now reading these lines too?

What say you all?

Here IT IS..... Just As JESUS... Said....

(John 3:19-20-21) And this is the condemnation, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than the Light, because their deeds were evil.

(Joh 3:20) For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light, lest his deeds should be exposed.

(Joh 3:21) But he who practices truth comes to the Light so that his works may be revealed, that they exist, having been worked in God.

Thanks, RR

I think if god revealed himself there would still be adulterers, murderers, liars, & thieves. Also, you assume that non-believers are all wicked and that's wrong. Many of them lead good lives and the only thing that would change by god revealing himself would be a belief in god. Generally, people want to do good things because that's how they'd like to be treated. That motive of goodness wouldn't be destroyed because it will always be there. Some would change their ways out of fear of punishment, but not everyone would need to and there would still be others who would ignore god.

The reason for "parables" is because it was being copied from other works. To love anything imaginary is beyond what any god would have anyone to do. There is no amount of word twisting by anyone that can remove the absurdities written in either the Old or New Testament.

What I say is even if your deity was proved empirically beyond a shadow of a doubt I still would not follow such an evil entity. However, I don't spend my time worrying about what doesn't exist.

I don't live my life in fear of punishment, not even from society because I am a moral person and therefore have no fear of either.

Not true sorry to say

If God Him self, where to show him self to any humans they would melt or say burn into ash, God cannot be around any sin, even the earth and stars would be no more, thats why his son Jesus came to restore what was lost and not God himself...

thats why no human seen God after the garden of eden.. he hide his face from humans, only his messenger told humans what God said,, it was never God.....

read your bibles in truth.....without human ideas and earthly ways it will show you his whole plan...

remember God is a devine fire, power, spirit, holy,,

This isn't wisdom, it's the work of someone not terribly clever at all.

If a god wanted to truly test us, he would let himself be known, and offer no prizes or punishments regardless of how we chose. That's the only way to make it fair.

Being invisible while still making threats and offering rewards is not wisdom, it's rediculous.

the simple fact that God allows the threat of Hell is proof that the Christian faith is a false faith.

do you honestly think that a God who creates creation with free will can send anyone to Hell for not believing in Him or Her?

for the Christian God to condemn anyone to Hell is impossible. If He does, He proves He is a liar.

Christianity, therefore, is a false religion because it makes a liar out of God.

for once you actually make sense, any religion that is fear based or reward based is not true spirituality, Jesus taught about respecting everyone, and spoke of love, he had to use parables to get his point across to the average man so that they could relate it to where they were in their life, a sheep herder without education would not understand the whole metaphysical ideology without practical application.

There really is no wisdom in that. It's the flip side of the same coin. Religionists believe they will be rewarded for their faith.

Under your line of reasoning, then the only ones going to "heaven" would be the atheists or agnostics, who are not afraid of god, and are good anyway.
