Hello Prince...
Sleepless nights, yes they have been my friend for years together. And the reason was the same you have. my people are the same and those politicians they have been fleecing the public. But in the end i came to this conclusion that whatever has to happen will happen and alone I could not alter the course, though in my place it is slightly different.
God created the two sides of every thing.. one good and the other bad, and at one place there is peace while on the other there is war, where on one side ther is light, the other side is having darkness..
Pray to God and ask him to lead you on the path of truth.
God Bless you dear.

Yeah, occasionally.
Try keeping yourself hydrated during the day, exercising about half an hour before you go to bed, keeping regular hours, not using your bed for reading or watching TV or anything like that, and not going to bed until you feel tired. If you regularly lie awake for hours at a time, you'll come to associate your bed with sleeplessness and you'll find it even harder to get to sleep. If you sleep during the day, make sure your bedroom is as dark as possible, as exposure to light is what regulates your circadian rhythm.
If the problem persists, ask your doctor whether you might need some form of sleeping medication.

I’ve been through this for over than 15 nights.. I do nothing except gazing at the ceiling :S.. I switch off the lights.. I put my pillow on my face to force myself to sleep.. And I still can’t sleep.. I think about the world, why people are not very peaceful, why some of them are unfair.. I used to sleep 8 hours at night.. But for 15 days, I nearly sleep 3 hours every night.. It’s really hard and tempting when you want to sleep but you can’t sleep.. :(
I was about to post that question today.. You did before I do ;)
Hope that God will rest our minds and souls inshaAllah..
Assalam aliekom, brother.

Try listening to Qur'an on CD/Cassette before you sleep, it will help you relax........
I know what you mean about sleepless nights, I'm currently nursing my 10 week old baby. I find playing a CD of Qur'an helps her to settle to sleep when she is restless.
Also recite the 4 Quls (Al Kafirun, Al Ikhlas, Al Falaq, An-Nas) or the last 2 Surahs of Al Baqarah or Ayat Al Kursi. All these offer protection before sleeping.
Barak'Allahu feek

Yes I have; however, not often.
I have long resolved to do what I can, then leave the rest up to God. As long as I've done my best, I'm content.
There is a verse in the Bible I turn to when I feel as you do:
Phil 4:6-7
Be anxious for nothing, but though prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God.
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Note - it does not say that all your problems will magically fly out the window - it says give God your worries and He will grant you peace through Christ Jesus.
I hope you sleep better tonight.

Sounds like you're suffering with insomnia...I have it too, I didn't get much sleep last night, or any night for that matter..that's the problem with us thinkers..our mind never shuts up..I finally had to go to my doctor for some medicine that helps...sometimes..it's better than nothing..I'll keep you in my prayers...try to get some rest..keep your room cool at night and don't stimulate yourself with computers or TV before bed, listen to some relaxing nature music, this helps a bit.

Brother maybe you are just worried about the hardships of your country and the poor around the world and that is why you haven't been sleeping. Pray to ALLAH(SWT) for guidance. Yes I've had many sleepless nights myself because I'm worried to much about my mother in law and my brother.

Not getting enough sleep really stinks... it's hard on your body and your mind. You should talk to your family doctor about it.
It can also help if you teach yourself to think about those issues the next day. To let them go until morning, or even make a list of where you'd like to pick up on that lline of thinking the next day.
