Yes when your that young you have no idea what love is and i know you think you know and that you know more than any one else but you have no idea.

i think once your past 18, a 10 year spread is the most. The problem is the larger the spread, the more differences in values occur. Initially that is not a problem, but after the initial glow of loves ebbs off, a difference in values will be a problem.
My levels of experience (I've always loved older ladies)
at 18 i was going with a 23 year old
at 21 i was seeing a 31 year old
at 22 i was seeing a 45 year old
at 25 i married a 32 year old and we've been together for 15 years now.

I think age does matter when your younger. Because there is so much changing going on when your younger that a couple of years can make a lot of difference. Not to mention people that are 11-14 even older dont need to worry about love and all that there is plenty of time for that. Age doesn't matter so much when your older though cause all your changing is pretty much over and both are mature. So I wouldn't say people that young even know about love. They think they do.

I don't think a 11 or 12 year old have any business "dating". Dating and having a relationship is practice for the real deal. It involves sex...kissing is a part of sex. I would not want my 11 or 12 year old kissing. At 11 and 12 these preeteens are still children. They need more time to be just kids. They have their entire life to be adults.

depends on the age of the two people at the beginning of the relationship. 20 and 33, big difference. 50 and 63, not that big a deal. if a 20 yr old hooks up with a 33 yr old, there is a large power, money, control issue at play. a 50 yr old has already established some independence and autonomy before the relationship so they are less likely to be molded like impressionable clay by a more advanced partner. check out: http://geocities.com/sbiv37/marr

age is just a number, what matters is how you work out your relationship & how you take your relationship in your stride.how mature the two of you are & how you just let the numbers be only numbers & nothing more than that.
13 to 11 or 14 to 12 isnt that a huge a gap.

Cheers

I'm guessing you are 14, and it is fine for you to date the 12 year old. But you are too young for love, but old enough for a relationship.

Yes it matters a lot. Differing levels of maturity can cause major issues. The younger people are, the more significant age difference issues can be. It is best to not only date someone close to your own age, but also to date someone with comparable intelligence, comparable income level, and with similar morals and value systems. Religion is also a huge factor.

well im 15. and i know those ages are almost too young to even understand about what love truely is. Because those emotions and thoughts haven't even developed yet.
Love, you'll find through time. And love doesn't=sex.
haha.
Love is LOTS more than sex, it's comittment, devotion, friendship, bad time, good times.
Wait until you're older to experience true love...Even at about 20, not a lot of people really know what love is.
Just wait. Don't grow up too fast. because being grown up is never as fun as growing up!
Take care,
xx

Age matters, for social reasons...to make relationships socially acceptable. A 14-year-old boy is sexually mature, with an adult sexual organ, while an 11-year-old girl is probably still a child.
But secret trysts are another matter. With secret trysts, just make sure nobody finds out.

Doesn't matter what you mean the fact applies universally and to all ages, Love does not have any age restrictions anywhere or anytime. Never has and never will. Society places restrictions of age on the acts that people engage in as a result of love like marriage, sex, and the like. Love has no restrictions as it is the most powerful of emotions.
