I'm a stay-at-home mom and would prefer to stay that way, but a few extra dollars each month would help. Do you have an at-home business? A hobby that brings in a little extra? Any ideas are welcome...thanks in advance!

I write articles online. The pay is OK, but the hours are great. I work when I want to and I write what I want. If you need a good website to get started let me know.
Good luck
the site is free... I'm too cheap to pay to work!

How old are your children?

When I was a stay-at-home when my children were younger, I provided just before and after school care for just of few of children I liked, of friends who needed someone to take care of their kids in the morning before school and after school. It was much easier if the kids you took care of went to a school nearby.

This included taking them to school and picking them up.

I wasn't into having to take care of other children all day, when I wanted to be able to just spend time taking care of my own, and run errands with just my own children in tow.

It entails a few hours a day, and you can stipulate what you will do for them in those few hours. Like will you provide breakfast or not or would you rather they have already eaten at home before they are dropped off at your house? Snack?

You can really call the shots to the service you will provide for the children. I have come across many parents who just need help for those few hours in the day.

Good luck!

P.S. You can charge them per week, instead of per day. That way you'll be paid whether they are taken to your house or not. That's how most daycares work. So whether the child comes over 5 days week or less, you still will have the income. That insures that you can accomodate the children, or if they (the parents), don't like it, (paying per week instead of per day), they'll have to go elsewhere, where more than likely it will be more costly.

You can take up a hobby like crochet and sell it on www.ebay.com. My mom makes tiny baby out fits and get like $20 an out fit. but at first she had to sell some of her out fits for a dollar because she was new to ebay but after she got making more the prices went up.

Look up Grandmas Heart on ebay and you will have more of an idea of what she makes.

Well I'm a housewife and will be a stay at home mom when I have children. I'm an author so I make money. If you have a craft then try doing that or babysit.

pet sitting.
When I lived in NJ a lady used to take care of my dog.
She charged me $45 a day. But if I was out of town or stuck on the job, it was a lifesaver.
Now, she came to the house.
but, you could have people drop the dogs or cats at your place.
You can walk and feed them and get the$$$ for the work.

This lady had her act together. She had a Mercedes Benz SUV, so she was raking in the cash.
