I have then soaking in water currantly and an not sure how to proceed
Do I tie them together or band them? NAyone ever done anything like this?

yes, you can braid them. the only critical thing (dont laugh) is that you must not mistake top end for bottom end of the individual branches! i suggest you make a nice braid, fix the ends with some ribbon or anything so that is doesnt untie, then place it in water and wait for roots to grow, then plant it out - still with the ribbons in place - remove them next year

Yes...actually, willow is very bendable...so you can braid them easily as they grow....also, the willow has its own rooting hormone, and will grow roots if left in water...Good Luck!!!
