I'd make him a small book of photos of your family and the experiences you've had together over the years. Make sure to do a few pages focusing in on you and your dad's relationship over the years. Include notes relating memories of things you've done together.

Hi,
The answer is quite simple really. Lots of love and patience is the first and formost gift you can give. Second, take an assessment of his newly limited abilities and assist him with his personal needs. For example, if he can no longer read, pick out a favourite book of his and read to him. If he has difficulty with mobility, surround him with the things he would normally have to get up for, ie: remote, a beverage, phone.
A collage of pictures depicting your favourite times spent with him on vacation, an outing or just fun times around the house.
Last, but not least, keep on top of your game. Keep your up chores, homework, and your other responsibilities. It is important not to make him feel responsible for any short-comings on your part.
I would recommend buying him a book entitled "HAVING A HEART ATTACK AND KEEPING YOUR SENSE OF HUMOR" Written by Earl F. Mullinax. You may locate this book in any major book store or at www.tatepublishing.com
I wish you the very best for you and your father. I too have been where you are. It's not any easy situation to deal with, even at my age. Read the book yourself for a better understanding of what your father is going through. I know it has helped me tremendously.
My father is the one that wrote the book.

I would write him a letter and tell him how much you love and cherish him. maybe you could suggest seeing a nuitrionalist with him so that you can learn to eat a heart healhty diet together and both live for such a long time. That's what I would want to do. Spend time with him and let him know I support him no matter what.
I'm happy for you and your father!
Also, if you wanted to make him something. I made my dad a bird house once out of popcicle sticks and he stil has it in his office 25 years later

Give him a homemade card that tells him how much you love and appreciate him. In it let him know that you will be his walking/exercise partner to help get his heart back into a healthy condition. You can talk about anything while you are walking or exercising and it will only strengthen the bond between the 2 of you.

I think best to spent time with him, chat with him and basically tell him you love him.Or you could make him a card. Take a hard paper, cut the edges with sissors that have patterned edges or you cld cut tiny patterns on the edges. Gathers some dry flowers (small ones), put some super glue and glue them to the page and write a note on it. Pls remember to wait till its totally dry before closing the two halves of the papercard. It must have been a very stressful time for all concerned. Take care and god bless.

That all depends on what craft-making items you have access to. He'll appreciate anything you make for him because you cared enough to do so.
If he's home as a result, you might find out what kind of puzzles he likes to do and get him some of those - or make him one. A word-find or a crossword. That would be very cool. :)

picture frames or scrapbooks are always good.
if he's bed ridden make a home video so he can watch it. i love making those! or a mix cd or something.
or if you want to take the time you could maybe make him a quilt or something that's more hands on and time consuming. but the results would be definitely worth it.
i think anything from the heart that's thoughtful would be great.

Make him a shaped pillow. about a foot to a foot and a half in diameter. If he went to the hospital for it, and had surgery they give them a small pillow to hold when they cough, but a personally made pillow would mean more. Probably have to buy the fabric and the stuffing, but that stuff is inexpensive.

Give him your time. He'll be happy with that. He now probably realizes that all other things are just material. If you really need to give him something then why not make a small photo album or scrap book of the best times you've had with him. But above all, I think your time would be most appreciated.
