how many of them drove do their you think? also them stopping traffic into Heathrow doesn't cause more pollution not less, the planes are going to take off anyway their only doing it for one days so no one is going to say stuff that where not going on holiday this year plus the traffic is sitting their with their engines on. Single handily the protesters have created more global warming haven't they?

Air travel is not a problem, in small amounts.
It is the massive commercial expansion of air operations that poses such a threat to the natural systems we still rely on for survival.
Most activities are harmless, in the quantities needed for human survival. But most commercial profit is made from unnecessary luxury activities. This is especially distressing because of the massive amount of necessities (clean water, basic medical care, sufficient local food) that are left undone, because doing something about them would interfere with more profitable activities.
(for example, flowers are imported into the UK from Africa)
Political and commercial issues are connected, because governments (local as well as national) are made up from and influenced by business leaders. These are people who have become successful by making profits, from the economic activities (eg marketing cheap air travel) that interfere with other people's quality of life, or even their ability to survive.

They've probably travelled loads of times. But because they probably can't even afford the air fare they think they can make our lives a misery.

Funny, I was just thinking the same thing. I wonder if any flew in for the event. Maybe they bicycled in from other countries.

how would i know that perhaps all of them or none of them but at a guess layabiouts don't have money to spare on plane fares

But none of them do anymore because they cant afford it. They have not good a job.
