I think I really am... Alright, me and my girlfriend have been together almost 3 months. Now I know someone is gonna say "3 months could never be love, that's just lust" Well no, it's not. I know for a fact it isn't lust. Okay...well, first I realised I was doing crazy things so I could see her...like for one...I didn't have a way to her house...so I walked 7 miles to go see her...and I've done that about 5 times now to see her. And I have had many girlfriends in the past...never said any "I Love you's" at all to them...I say it to her though, and I mean it. The other girls gave me butterflies in my stomache for maybe about...umm...4 days. Brittany (my gf) gave me butterflies for the longest time. Sometimes i still get them, but like, I've gotten used to this so I don't think I get nervous anymore around her, I am completely comfortable being me around her! (another first) And here is the big shocker...being a guy and all-we talked about doing....um..well...i'll just say "the thing" and I realised I care waaaay too much for her to ever do ANYTHING that could potentialy cause harm to her in anyway. Like it could screw up her future...her career, hell, even her life. And right now I miss her like crazy and could go on and on about her (like her perfect smile and her beautiful light blue eyes) and decided to write this...I know this has to be love...I just wanted to see what anyone else thought. If not that...then I am in the process of falling for her. I've never ever felt this way at all. ever

Well for one, you never can tell. I've never been in a relationship that lasted longer than 10 months....till now. My current boyfriend and I just celebrated our 1 year. As crazy as it may sound, I fell in love with him instantly. He installed cable at my mom's house, and when he walked in, I fell in love. I don't believe in love at first sight, but it happened. What I'm trying to say, is that love can happen at any time. You could know someone for 2 days, and fall in love. Time will tell, but no one can tell you whether you're in love or not. YOU are the only one that can be the judge of that. Take some time to sit by yourself, no TV no music, dead silence and REALLY think about how you feel. You'll figure it out. Good luck hun, and I hope you really ARE in love.

Wish I knew your age...and yes, love can happen in three months. I think you are a most caring young man, and I believe that love does mean thinking of the other person first. If you don't want to "screw up her future" then stop talking about "the thing". Years ago people never did it before marriage, too much respect for the young lady. You also sound like a young man who will go to great lengths for the things you believe in. You should do very well in life, my friend. Hard work results in great benefits and satsifaction. Sounds like you are in love to me!

I understand how your feeling about it. Believe it or not, I'm going through the same thing right now, with a girl named Heidi. I've got the same feelings for Heidi as you do for Brittany, but believe me, it's not love. Atleast it's not true love. Yes you may love her, I know I got love for Heidi, but that may be all just some love. Not real like life or death situation and jump in and take the bullet love. I don't think Humans have been around long enough to fully understand love. So who knows maybe you do, maybe you don't. Right now, just love what ya got and stick to your heart.

First off you sound like a nice young man. You are in fact in love with her when you think about her all day, want to be with her more than anything else and strive to do so. There are all sorts of levels of love and you will experience the ones that are best when you are at this level you are on. (it only gets better) So be happy! Be happy with her!

Good for you. Cherish the beautiful feeling. If you think it is love, then it is love. Don't analyze too much. don't worry about the length of time; people could be together for 4yrs or 40yrs and still be wondering if the really love their partner. So, all the best - may the wonderful time last for a long. long time.

It's still lust and puppy love. It's just lasting longer this time. If in a year or a year and a half, you still feel the same, then it may be real.
