everybody loses weight at different rates, it depends on your level of fitness as to how soon you will see results and more importantly the quality of the foods in your diet.
for most it takes a good 2-3 weeks on a new diet before the metabolism shits and there is measurable fat loss. the first 2 weeks of dieting 90% of the weight lost will be water as stored nutrients are metabolized for energy at a greater rate due to the reduced caloric intake

The best way to loose weight is by eating healthy foods, so a low carb diet may help you a little as long as you do that exercising as well. To loose weight you definately need to exercise and eat well so you do that and you will end up with results!!!! Also, try eating 5 small meals instead of 3 large meals. It will help!! I hope this helps!!!!!!!:)

It really depends on person to person. The minimum is 2 lbs for 2 weeks.
It is my lifestyle now. I am on low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein and a hour brisk walk 5 times a week, and I have lost 31lbs/14kg and gained better health. I am now maintaining my 108lbs/49kg for more than a year, with more fruits and complex carbs.
Details such as my experience, meals, snacks, recipes, foods to buy, reading labels, walking as an exercise and to shape the body etc etc, are in my blog.

There are actually a couple of supplements that have been shown to block your bodies ability to absorb carbs and they work very well. The way that I avoid carbs is by eating as much protein as possible and by taking a carb blocking substance whenever I am tempted and can't refuse a carb heavy meal or desert. One of my favorite brands of carb blockers (there are a couple of companies that sell carb blocking supplements) is BSN becasuse I saw an article in a review journal that ranked its product as very high in purity and quality. BSN Cheater's relief, which is the name of their carb blocking substance is actually on sale at one place I shop online. http://www.performancenutrition.com/shop... but you can get it at GNC too

Are you thinking about Atkins. If so don't. Meat is not the building block for any healthy diet.

about half your current weight is the absolute maximum you can lose in two weeks.
but you have to take your carb intake down to zero, as well as your fat, protein, vitamin and anything else intake.
I suggest you don't.
