G'day,

Hmmm... lots of ppl that dun know the answer but answer just for the sake of 2pts... saddd :p

OK... I know (& I'm sure you noticed as well) that there are plenty of international students who have completed their study and got residency to stay and work in Australia.

The best thing for you is to contact the Dept. of immigration (www.immi.gov.au) for the latest information on what's required to get your residency. As the laws change very rapidly from time to time, only the staff of Dept Immigration that can best informing you of the latest info. Citizenship can be gained after you maintained your residency visa for a number of years.

Hope this helps. Good luck :)

what you need and what Australia thinks it needs may not be the same thing.

and the Aussies are in charge of whom they let into the country.

no. simply completing graduate school there will not get you a free pass to become a resident or citizen.

please consult the australian government's website for their requirements on how people might move there permanently.

Hail, Australia!! [they're doing some things right.]
