Usually not for the education credit - then you could take them basically only if they are included in the cost of the course, not if you buy them separately even if you get them from the school bookstore.

If you are taking education expenses as business deductions, they very likely could be deducted.

If you pay tax on your work, and the books are necessary for you to do that work, then they are tax deductible.

You can include it in your education expenses. I'm sure they required certain amount before you can deducted.
