BBQ goat is excellent. The flavor depends on method of killing used. A goat needs to be bled out. Young goats also are better for eating. Pit or slow grilling is the best way to cook goat.

If your considering cooking goat, you might want to try this recipe.

*****GOAT ROAST

Goat, hind quarter leg
4 c. water
6 potatoes
6 tomatoes
4 onions
2 cans tomato sauce
6 carrots
Salt and pepper

Put goat leg in roaster. Add 4 cups water. Cook slow until almost done. Add remaining ingredients until all cooked tender.

At specialty mexican deli's you can buy barbacoa, which is bbq made from goat meat. Some friends eat it for breakfast just about every day... Guess it just depends on your culture.

I've often wondered why more people don't eat goat. We eat it in the South and it's wonderful barbecued!!

I don't care for the strong taste of goat myself. It has the same aftertaste in my mouth that lamb has.
have eaten it though that the flavor is really good, both BBQ'd and curried. but still the same aftertaste.
