Linux is better than windows Vista and XP. now you can get all the tutorials on how to install and set up linux. tutorials on everything about linux all for free. the support is second to none

I have been using personal computers since 1979, so I know what I am talking about, in the days when there was only microsoft windows that was fine. thats all you could get to run your computers,, it was a case of you had to have Windows... and MS have taken us all for a ride for many many years,,

today there is other choices when it comes to computers and operating systems, lets take the Apple Mac, like Microsoft they are taking their customers for a ride, by keeping certain facts secrete from their customers, in doing so they over charge for their computers, software and other hardware, but their customers don't see it that way.. they think they have bought the best systems that money can buy,

now Linux is free, all the software is free, and the thing about it is you don't need a High end system to run it, it will out perform Xp and Vista premium in every way. you can run windows under linux but you can't run linux under windows, it will not read the file format..

yes do learn linux your heading in the right direction for your best computer experience If you need to know anything PM me

Hi, Linux is not that hard to learn if u really want to learn it. The first time u start using Linux and u see all those new things, and commands u have to memorize and get used to do stuff is what actually make people switch to Windows. After u get ur system up and running u will enjoy it, but u may have to give up ur favourite stuff on WIndows. If u want ease of use then continue using WIndows, but if u want to try Linux and actually get to experience it then try Fedora 7 or Ubuntu 7.04. After u learn them then install the more powerfull version of Linux which is OpenSuse from Novell.

I just installed ubunto feisty fox 7.04 (Linux) and am using it now. It can be a bit intimidating at first, but it is pretty cool. This is supposed to be one of the easiest versions for 1st timers to use. It took a bit of beating on it to get it installed but it was worth the effort!
