well pretty much because every one there is stronger than you how bout you just buy you personal set of dumbbells and do some training at home first
they shouldnt cost more than a gym membership,

and besides I would feel embarrassed at first when I started working out, but than you get used to it, after you get a little beffy

Every person in that gym started out where you are - feeling like they don't belong in there. It's great that you want to improve your strength.

In my experience, everyone in the gym is very friendly and sympathetic, and will love to see you trying. If you see someone doing an interesting looking exercise or looking like they know what they're doing, ask a question! I bet you'll get a helpful answer, and some motivation.

start out with the small stuff and work your way up.. or buy some weights for at home and work on it in the comfort of your own home.. then when u get stronger where u feel comfortable to go to the gym and workout then go! and u'll fit right it!
- gym memberships really arent that pricey and neigther are some cheap weights
-also not everyone at the gym is goign to be a buff body builder benching 350 pounds..lol there will be ppl of all skill levels lifting all sorts of different weights.. yes and even WOMEN! hehe =)

dont hide go out and work out!

I think it's important to find the time/money to get to the gym. Going 3 times a week will improve your strength and your outlook on life. A lot of different shapes and sizes go to the gym. They're all there to improve themselves. Nobody will look at you and laugh. They'll look at you and think, "Now there is a person who has really got their life in order". You'll be admired. You'll feel so much better about yourself! I do!

Get sum free weights and try to start lifting for mass the first week by lifting the heaviest amount of weights that you can lift the first 2 weeks.
Lift in 3 sets of 8-10 reps.if you can lift more then 13 then the weights r 2 light. Then start building strength by lifting lighter weight but do more reps.u should be strong in no time.hopes this helps :D

maybe cause your "conscious" of either your appearence, strength, gym knowledge (machines and workout routines), ...nobody cares (better to go than to not go).

best advice...just go out there and do it. within a workout session or 2, you'll get into your comfort level and feel like a pro.

****don't waste your money on personal trainers, waste of time and money...all they do is make you look like an idiot doing funky ballet exercises that you would normally never do on your own.
