Go to the ward building that is closest to you. Bring proof of how much rent is and the check is supposed to be made to. Talk with the bishop. He might be able to help you. If he does all he will ask you to do is a few hours of service work. They can help more than one month out of the year. I am a member who has gotten aid twice already for this year.

Not true. The Church has a welfare program that may include non members to some degree. It has a no cost employment center open to anyone. The Bishop is responsible for the temporal well being of all who live within the ward. Before the Church helps he determines if the person is doing all he can to help himself. Second is his family able to help and then he will find what is the best way the Church can help. The most likely way that the Bishop will help is with food.

The Mormon church pays a person s rent depending on the circumstances. It depends on the ward and the person receiving the assistance.

The flat out answer is yes, but there is stipulates to this. Also about any church will help if there is a true reason why you did not pay your rent and with them paying this months rent will insure your able to pay next months and so on. People in this world are cruel and heartless, but there is a whole flock of people willing to help people whom are trying to help themselves. Say you missed work due to being sick, your a single parent with no help from the absentee, your family struggles like you do and this missed work has put you into a financial hardship then yes you will get help about any place. Now if you went out and bought that 100 purse and matching shoes No no one should help you even if you got kids. I struggle every day with food bills. I sleep in my house I own no payments but my bedroom windows are plastic wrap because I can not afford new windows and plastic wrap was a 1.00. I also share my house with children who have been abused, mistreated and thrown out at 18. I try to help them make it on their own by finding jobs and their own places. My place is like living it rough, I got a big whole in my bathroom floor with a board over it, cracked Windows, missing no windows, very old house. My husband works full time and we feed 6 people. But you know what this is life and a life lesson to help these children go on and do great. I want nothing in return except for them to go on and do well. This place is far from fancy but at least I show them love respect and a safe place. Not always warm. But full of love. People do need help and should not be ashamed to ask.

Oregon Flower your facts are way wrong I know someone who got help from the Mormon church and they weren't Mormon and they didn't have to pay the Mormon church back or anything so get your facts straight before opening your big mouth have know nothing about and for your response about being a cult can you even tell me how they are a cult? or even what a cult is? you need facts before you make outrageous facts such as that so do everyone a favor and shut your mouth if you cant say anything nice I'm not Mormon but I also don't think Mormons are bad at least they are nice which I cant say the same thing about you I also don't care if I get thumbs down for this or reported for abuse

Why would you want the Mormon church to pay your rent? Are you unable to work? Do you believe Mormons have more money than they know what to do with? Why would you willingly shift to another the responsibility you have for your own life?
You can always talk to a Mormon bishop about your concerns and needs. Perhaps he will be able to help you, in the way that the Lord inspires him to help you. Perhaps it will be helping you to find a way to pay your own bills, which is the ideal solution. If you are just looking for something for nothing then what you need is to be taught correct principles.

No, the LDS church sometimes helps members out who are in financial need, but each member isn't given one month out of the year paid rent.

The answer is 100% false the LDS churches or wards do not help thier members or non members at all. They don't use their money like christian churches do. They pay bills and bulid churches thats it. I asked online help and they confirmed that so go elsewhere if you need help.
