Yes I agree. The trick is to keep an open mind. That can be harder for some then others. :) I admit catching myself doing it at times.

I agree with this. Being open minded is very important. What people don't seem to understand is that being open minded does not mean we have to change how we feel, it means that we have to try to understand why someone feels differently to what we do. If I remain open minded about the religious beliefs of others it doesn't mean I plan to change my beliefs to theirs but rather that I try to understand why they believe what they believe and accept that their beliefs are as valid as my own. there are definitely things which we cannot be open minded about such as abuse but I don't consider this being close minded. We can be open minded and still agree to disagree.

I think that it will slow our spiritual growth tremendously, but not completely. In my experience when i closed my mind to different things and they turned out to be a personal truth they found a way to get through.

On the other hand, there is also the famous adage that one shouldn't be so open-minded that one's brains fall out. ;O)
Hopefully, we can find a happy medium between the two.

I believe its true! If we keep our mind so narrow that we can't even see the rooftops, we are closing in ourselves, we are preventing ourselves from going anywhere or seeing different things!

I totally agree.
Then again, I am content to know that my God has the answers to all of my questions, and He has never minded my asking Him...
So that's alright.
