Why do londoners hate everyone?

Question

Im scottish and i have lived in most of the major cities from Aberdeen down to brighton and everywhere in between.

I dont really care where someone is from, if they are wankers i just dislike them...

I noticed however, that Londoners (sorry) specifically despise everyone but more so that everyone dispises Londoners the most!!

I always knew about our old rivalry, but i think most people dont understand that the northern cities of england hate londoners, (newcastle, manc, liver..) more than scotland do. The Irish are happy to stay in Liverpool but despise londoners too, The welsh dispise Londoners and when i stayed in London, the londoners were the ones to always abuse Americans more so than anywhere else in the UK.

This is not fact, but its my experience, unless your from London, you seem to be hated, yet if your from London, everywhere else hates you.

Why???

Im not saying everyone.

From posts here and another post on a different question, it does seem the answer is one a Londoner himself provided in a different question...

To which a londoner replied

"Everyone is just jelous"

I think it shows that a great deal of London specifically cannot accept the reality of current trends. IE: America, Russia and China dominate the world now, but Londoners still feel the need to insist everyone and everything is jelous of them when in reality, not one person from even the north of thier own country has any respect for the city at all, never mind being jelous.

I think people born in London, because parilment is there etc grow up with the belief that everyone wishes to be as upclass and proper as them when in reality, the vast majority of people say "i dont fancy moving to London, much too busy and smoggy for me"

londoners have that great delusion that they still own all the colonies and scots and irish and the world. its a view many in the "colony" of the united states shares. interestingly enough the pilgrims were londoners. basically just think of all the stupid disillusionment in english history and its still alive and well in the hearts and minds of londoners. you are scottish so they own you. they deride the rest of the english as being common -- they even call their own children derogatory names (chavs, etc) --

in short they are delusional classist snobs who have decided they belong to the class that can snub its nose at your class because the rest of the universe is common and they are not.
