I'm trying to eat healthy - lots of water, vegetables, less junk food, etc. I'll go fine for a few days of that, then I suddenly just crash into reverse - soda, chips, oreos, more soda, etc. How come I can't stick with it??? Ugh.

When something is totally off limits, it becomes more appealing. Allow yourself some treats in moderation. Also, the subconscious does not understand the concept of "No". If you keep repeating to yourself "I will not eat those Oreo cookies.", the subconscious translates that into "I will eat those Oreo cookies." If you want to eat better, focus on what you should eat instead of thinking about what you should avoid eating.

you have to keep reminding your self why you are doing this, you may be skinny as a kid but your metabolism will slow down and how will you be than probably at the risk of cancer, with high cholesterol and 300 pounds

you need to remove all junk food from your house or else you will be constantly remilnded

I had a similar problem while studying(for university entrance) I would try to study efficient so I did some reading and tryed to do a perfect schedule for studying, every once in a while I found my self not studying at the time I needed to be and I would get unmotivated(resulting in more time being wasted by unmotivation and making a new "perfect" schedule)
in stead of making a new decleration of a new diet every once or so at first try to stick with a less extreme diet (say one serving of junk food everyday than slowly decrase it)
