Of course they realize it, why do you think there is No Fault Divorce and abolshment of Sodomy and Fornication laws in the U.S. that claims to be 80% Christian.

America has has MOSQUES for generations, but Greece only JUST allowed them to be built.

I guess they still harbor a little problem over 1 million Persians marching up against 300 Spartans.

A true christian comes under the heading of Protestant, and is seperate from the world and its lusts because they have met the Lord Jesus Christ and has received forgiveness in his Heart from the same.
They no longer want to please themselves, but want to please their God as their God has prepared a place for them in Heaven. Also our hearts are being prepared for heaven.
Eg - There will be no Alcohol in heaven - so we don;t need it down here.
Also we are taught by the Lord Jesus Christ to be seperate as a sign to the non-believers.
