Flannel pajamas, it was about 316 AD when they had this big synod or Council in Nicea. They came up with this Nicene Credo or Creed. You probably know it as the Apostle's Creed. That is where Christianity was born. That is where the Christian beliefs were etched in stone. It took them several months to come up with this phraseology. They said that Jesus was, " begotten, not made, of One Being with the Father." Don't know if your an American? Thomas Jefferson had a lot of trouble with the notion of a Trinity? He just couldn't understand it? See, your not alone?

There's always been different opinions on who Jesus is. I think He is the Son of God, but He's not God. If He were God, why does the Bible say He will sit in Heaven on the right side of God? Yes, I'd say they are made of the same substance and both are eternal. Co-equal? I don't see how they could be co-equal since God created Jesus. They are equally important, though, to Christianity.

The names of God in the Bible each reveal a characteristic of The Creator. In this dispensation He comes to us as Jesus Christ which means annionted Savior. Jesus was the invisible God made visible. He came to the earth through the virgin birth so that He could become the perfect sacrifice for us. In Heaven He will reveal a new name (characteristic) of Him. Look at it this way. A father and son are walking along a lake shore. They look out and see a man drowning. The father says to the son, I love him so much that I want you to go and save him. That is not God's Love. He came Himself so that we could all be saved.

If you are like most Christians then you believe in the Trinty -God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit (or as I use to hear it when I was a kid - the Holy Ghost) are all really one. They don't really exist seperate from one another - they are all essentially the same being. See the Wikipedia article for a great discussion on this topic http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holy_trinity
Good Luck!!!

"Trinity" is a term that is not found in the Bible but a word used to describe what is apparent about God in the Scriptures. The Bible clearly speaks of God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit...and also clearly presents that there is only one God. Thus the term: "Tri" meaning three, and "Unity" meaning one, Tri+Unity = Trinity. It is a way of acknowledging what the Bible reveals to us about God, that God is yet three "Persons" who have the same essence of deity.
Some have tried to give human illustrations for the Trinity, such as H2O being water, ice and steam (all different forms, but all are H2O). Another illustration is an egg having a shell, egg yolk and egg white, but this egg illustration shows that there would be "parts" to God, which isn't the case.
God the Son (Jesus) is fully, completely God. God the Father is fully, completely God. And God the Holy Spirit is fully, completely God. Yet there is only one God. In our world, with our limited human experience, it's tough to understand the Trinity. But from the beginning we see God this way in Scripture. Notice the plural pronouns "us" and "our" in Genesis 1:26 -- Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

Each religion has a different vision of this....
In mine Jesus was the son of God and he came on the earth as the word of God...and to die for our sins...
God is the main figure and Jesus was given the power from him...
Also the Holy Spirit is empowered by God....
But...we all have different beliefs and that shouldn't stop us from being friendly and compassionate with each other..no matter if believers or atheists...

Yes, Jesus is God. God the Father and God the son. It is a great mystery. And only through Holy Spirit you can really get the meaning. But there are lots of verses which shows Jesus is Almighty God. Just for our salvation sake, Jesus came to earth to die for us. Otherwise, He was seated on the Throne.

The gospel of John says"In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God," TheTrilogy is difficult for even theologians to explain so I won't try. I pray sometimes to God the Father, sometimes to the Father,Son andHoly Ghost. T4

God, as Jesus's Father, created Him...BUT...God's Holy Spirit flows in and around Jesus just as He does through all of us whom have accepted the fullness of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.....
co-equal? no, God is still Supreme co-eternal? Yes they were together at the beginning of this world and will both eternally be there in Heaven AND here on earth.
May God bless you abundantly :)

The name of God, the Father is God and the Son of God is Jesus Christ.. God, the father is powerful than God, the Son but both are powerful and mighty but God, the father is the mightiest. They are both in one God.
