I Don't. I was listening to this talk radio show called coast to coast and they said they had two psychics on the air and they were taking calls. So this guy calls in and says "Hello my name is Mitch" Then one of the psychics jumped in and said " O I was doing some pre-psychic reading before the show, and I just KNEW that someone named Mitch was going to call."
I was upset that anyone could even listen to this crap and believe they were actually talking to psychics. Anybody could have called and they would have had said the same thing but with thier name instead of Mitch's.
If they really did pre-psychic reading then why didnt they just say that someone was going to call named Mitch?
Then I began to think. It would be really sad if the two sisters who were the psychics actually believed they were. I mean come on.

I believe in psychics, insofar as there are people out there who claim to be able to see the past, present, future occurances that they were not present for, but I don't believe they have the abilities they say they have.
Sylvia Brown was on Coast-to-Coast when those miners were trapped in that mine not too long ago, and during the show George Norry announced that they had found the miners alive, and Sylvia Brown was like "You see, I knew that already, that they were alive, blah blah blah." Later in the show, her foot was in her mouth, but she said the same thing, only reversed, "I knew all along that they weren't alive."
If she says something that turns out wrong, she changes her prediction from literal to a metaphor, takes a position of authority, and dismisses anybody who challenges her by saying stuff like "No, honey... blah blah blah".
If you want to see something really embarrassing to her and the psychic community, look up Sylvia Brown on YouTube, and look up the James Randi Million Dollar Challenge.

I predicted 9/11, and the mine disaster, and I predicted that the stock market would have trouble this summer, and that Karl Rove would resign, and that Michael Vick would get into trouble with the law, and that the Space Shuttle would get a gash in its tiles, and that a bridge would collapse in Minnesota.
See how easy this is? Predicting the past - like psychics do - is child's play!
Don't believe me? How can you say that? I also predicted that the Cubs would occupy first place sometime this summer, and that Brittany Spears would have drug problems, and that Chinese toys would turn out to be dangerous. With all of those incredibly precise and accurate predictions, how could anyone doubt my psychic powers?
----------------------------------------
Of course Brent (above) hits the nail on the head: psychics aren't exceptionally sensitive people - they're exceptionally insensitive people, who are so unaware of the world around them that they're able to look at vague comments, below-chance-level guessing, and claims made after-the-fact about predictions and convince themselves that those things add up to psychic powers.
Of course there's the other kind of psychic as well - the deliberate fraud. Those are the only two kinds.

Sounds as though your mind is already made up. Probably on a lot more issues than psychics. If so, it's no big deal.
However, sometimes a person decides to explore his certainties and backtrack how he got his opinions.
It's a big universe out there.
If you want to learn about the subject without having to sort through a lot of anonymous answers by strangers, about whom you know nothing, including whether they know anything, there's a way to learn.
The reading list below can act as a source for you. Most of the titles can be found in your local library.

I tested one of those guys once. Called into the radio station, told them I was worried my GF was preggers and what should I do. They told me we would be having a lovely baby boy, get married, and live happily ever after. I asked how this could be true, since I'd had a vasectomy and she's had a hysterectomy and I was pretty sure she couldn't get pregnant. They hung up on me.
BTW, she never got pregnant and we broke up about 10 years ago. Sadly, these frauds often really believe they have psychic powers, mainly because they have no comprehension of stats & chance. One person I saw thought getting 4 of 10 guesses correct was pretty good - when the odds were 50-50!

I imagine those two sisters are the psychic twins, I know of them...they ARE psychic but can be silly sounding sometimes...I am psychic but would never go on a radio or TV show...my ability is not some parlor trick...but if you don't believe it, that is up to you...

Yes I believe in psychics. They even speak about psychics in the Bible. I also believe that like everyone else they have to make money. They give very vague answers with just enough insight to keep you coming back for more. Yes, they exists although there are a lot of frauds.

There are many very real psychics, but the field is also loaded with con artists and charlatans.
Usually , the psychics that help police solve crimes are genuine psychics and their help has been invaluable in many cases.

I totally agree with you. Who the hell do these people think they are? Its like sylvia brown, and the way she plays with a very vulnerable audience, and gives people hope. she is way off base, sells books, screws the public and laughs all the way to the bank
