I close the firefox window, then when i open it again i receive a message saying that firefox is still running but not responding and that i must close it before opening, how do i do this as it doesn't show up in task manager. Thanks

uninstall firefox, reboot, then install again. (www.getfirefox.com)

Completely uninstall the firefox, if the firefox folder int he "Program Files" is not deleted then delete it & then install firefox back on. If possible, go for the latest version.

It shows up in ctl+alt+del"Processes".
See if there is a newer version available by clicking the "Help"tab>Check for updates.

You have a problem with your machine, otherwise it would close down correctly. Fix the machine and the problem will go away.

go to task manager>running process & end the firefox.exe
