I don't need words to write a sermon...I need to live my life according to the law of love that Jesus tried to teach.
Are there flaws in Churches? Yes, because we ARE human and subject to human limitations. But that doesn't mean we should stop trying to work with the world around us to make it a better place, to help eliminate hunger...even if it is only one person. To try and clothe the naked, even if we can only do it for one person. If each person did one thing to help others, what a difference we could see in the entire world. Once you start seeing the "Christ" in another person, you can be more open to understanding one another. Jesus told us to love our enemies... could we have a war if we did that?
I really don't care if my voice isn't heard, but I would hope my actions speak louder than words and perhaps some good will come of it.
Peace be with you always.

Odd One,
GOD wants us to read, study, and obey HIS WORD according to the scriptures. It should not matter whether anyone else "hears the sermon or not" if we are constructing the sermon from HIS HOLY WORD then we have done our part. According to Matthew 28:19-21 Jesus told us to "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. " This is not a passive act it is an active, going out requires us to leave our homes and find others who have not heard HIS WORD. Have a wonderful week.
Thank you,
Eds

It sounds like you are writing a sermon.

Stop

Go in front of the congregation and take a part from the bible and speak along side of it. Speak from the heart, the listening ear will here what is needed, it is as manna from god.

Your question refers to the intellect of a written sermon. How does that go...Attention grabber, three points and a conclusion.
I think God wanted us to just speak from the heart and let his holy spirit be our guide.

Not all Christians will be preachers so why would they write a sermon? If a preacher writes a sermon people will hear it.

I don't think they do...because otherwise they might hesitate, doubt themselves, and think about their beliefs for a moment, which is just plain contrary to what Jesus would have wanted.
