I do not put a limit on what God can do.
I just don't think of Joseph Smith being the same as Moses.
God can reveal things to us all.

God wrote in His Book that we are not to add to or take away from what He had written. It is in there twice, which makes it Church Doctrine. His Book is everything that we need to know about Him to get us into heaven. All we know about those tablets that Joseph Smith found were that they were buried in the ground. Who wrote them? Can they be verified? The Apostles verified each others writings as Truth and God Inspired. One more question. Who and how many angels told him where to find these tablets? 30 years ago it was common knowledge that one angel told him where to look (Time Life Magazine), now they claim that it was 3, Jesus, Moses and Elijah. How do they know for sure? How do they know that for sure? How can anyone living in the 1800's know without a doubt what any of these 3 looked like? The same with these Mary worshippers. Just because an apparition claims something, is that absolute truth? Where is the evidence to back it up?

Because the teachings of Joseph Smith are not in line with the teachings of Christ nor the Christian understanding of God.

Joseph Smith may have had some revelation and then ran with it in the direction he chose and was not of God.

Both Joseph Smith and Muhammad changed the Word of God. Both Muhammad and Joseph Smith had this angel of light visit them. Who do you think that angel of light could have been?

The Bible clearly states that we have only one gospel. And if anybody preaches a gospel other than the gospel in the Bible let them be accursed.

I studied under the Mormon religion. It just wasn't the one for me.
I gave it a try.
I think it's possible God spoke to Smith, I've never said anything about that.
There were other things in the religion that I had problems with.
