"`How can you say, "We are wise, for we have the law of the LORD," when actually the lying pen of the scribes has handled it falsely?' (From the NIV Bible, Jeremiah 8:8)"

if they threating the life of Jesus, and tried to kill Jesus, then moreover, hurt the followers who follow Jesus. and have control on the city and the people. so do you think after all this they can't play with his book as well?

Nope, the bible isn't corrupted. 2 Peter 1:20-21 says, "Above all you must understand that no prophecy of scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man but man spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit".

God inspired the writers to write his words. He didn't appoint some scribe to write lies. All scripture is God breathed (2 Timothy 3:16). Over the years, several attempts have been made by Roman Emperors to wipe away the bible from the face of the earth. But God carefully preserved his word. If the bible was just a bunch of lies, epics, myths and other make believe stuff, then why would God bother preserving the Bible? If the bible were really corrupt, God wouldn't have waited for the roman emperors to try and destroy all the bibles. He could have done so himself with just the snap of his finger. Get my point? Hope so.

Oh, if you need evidence that the bible was really carefully preserved? Take the example of the dead sea scrolls. They contain the whole book of Isaiah and some other books. When archaeologists compared the messages in the scripture to the ones we have now, its still the same. It hasn't been distorted at all. How would that be possible if there wasn't any divine intervention?

They played with Jesus' book (his gospel), the moment he turned his back. The Roman bible (aka "New Testament"), is a great corruption and perversion of Jesus' teaching. His real teaching is the found in the Nag Hammadi library (also somewhat corrupted but nowhere near as much since it was buried for safe-keeping almost 2 millennia ago).

He was talking about the false prophets of the day taking the Word of God and twisting it to justify what they wanted it to.
Satan has tried to destroy the Word but he can't because God promised us it will always be there. So Satan has made false religions and has tried to mess up the scriptures. Your NIV is one of those versions.
Email me at wofsouls@yahoo.com I'll send you a little test to take with your NIV.

That's not a proof, today with big technology and state of art torture in some countries, people can smuggle books and keep books. Under saddam we had lots of books that goes under ground, that if discovered it guarantees execution with torture, but nevertheless we got them. now people can remember right. and also the dictator of that time will not think christianity will prevail, and will never expect to do a book similar. or try to corrupt it.. it is not of their thinking at the time.

Bible is partly a message of God, partly history from common people. It was written from memories many a times and it contains so many and strngely unpredictable mistakes that we cannot justify.

The only people who say this are the ones who never research the source of the bible.

If you actually follow it all of the way to it's roots you see it for what it is.

Love and blessings Don

the bible has had over 2000 years to be spin-doctored, adjusted and mis-interpreted by people with their own selfish agendas.

to deny what you say would be tantamount to denying that evil exists in the world. The new testament and the life of Christ is what is relavant. Know christs teaching and know peace in your life. god bless.
