As a Christian and a scientist I know a few things.
I find it interesting that Revelations claims the mark will be IN the right hand or forehead:
Revelation 13:16
And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
RFID chips can be anywhere, in someones earlobe for example or their left hand so if laws were passed that an RFID chip had to be embedded in the right hand or forehead of a person in opposition to the religious beliefs of some people I would agree that an RFID chip could constitute the mark of the beast.
The issue I have is the OR.
or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Which makes me ask myself, will it be all RFID chips inserted in the right hand or in the forehead OR will it be only RFID chips with some kind of specific honoring message in them?
Something we need to pray about, I agree.
Eventually all money transfers will be by encrypted RFID coupled with some kind of biometric ID.

Nope. Sorry, but microchipping kids so the gov't can track them is just as wrong as microchipping an animal so the gov't can track them. It's ridiculous that anyone would think of the idea, it'll cost a lot and be nil affective. What a sham!
And I personally don't want to have something someone can easily identify me from. What if someone switches a chip, and it says I'm a 50 year old guy with hemmrhoids? No way.
Agnostic.

I will NEVER accept that chip! But let me make a little clarification. The 'Mark of The Beast' on the forehead and hands doesn't mean some kinda chip. But rather it means that we accept the 'Mark' by the way we think or the things we choose to believe (forehead) and the things we do (hands). The chip isn't the Mark but whoever does accept that chip has also chosen to accept the Mark of The Beast.

Well I don't think it will happen in the next 50-100 years.. I mean I don't even like the idea of micro chipping my animals. A collar has worked for decades and how do I know that his thing won't slip and cause a blockage in a vital artery?
I don't think science has all the bugs worked out on that sort of technology, I think we are safe for now, at least in our lifetime. One other thought in time of a disaster nobody is going to have the equipment to read a micro chip, that might work okay for an unconcious patient in a single accident but for multiple disasters there will be no time to be looking for medical info on a chip!

I do respect your opinion. In fact, I believed exactly like you do just a couple of years ago.
That was before I read the book that explains ALL of Revelation. It is free at the site below. My fear has subsided now I understand.
The number 666 refers to nothing more or less than MONEY.
Look carefully at the actual text and you will note that John did not write “666 (“six hundred threescore and six”) is the mark of the beast, nor did he say “666” is the number of the beast. He specifically and purposefully wrote that the number “666 corresponded to” the “number of the beast which is the number of a man, and his number is six hundred threescore and six.” Neither did John say: “..is the number of man (as in ‘mankind’),” but he specifically wrote: “…is the number of a man,” meaning a particular man.
That particular man to whom John was pointing those “who hath understanding,” is Solomon. “His number” corresponds to “money” as in the amount of “gold” he received in a one-year period:
“Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred threescore and six talents of gold.” (I Kings 10:14)
With that said, even though I know the chip is NOT the mark of the beast, I am not really interested in getting it at this point.

I'm kinda confused on this one. Sometimes, in talking to people on this subject, I've been told that it's not a mark that you can see or feel or have inserted, it's just what's in your true heart. When I read the Bible, I get very confused in reading to decipher for myself. But, I do believe there is a "mark" of some kind. And I hold Jesus in my heart. So, hopefully, I'll make it with that.

hmmm ... very interesing.
I have to disagree with my brother above. The bible says
that nothing can separate me from the love and salvation
of Jesus Christ.
Peace.
(to answer, I'm 98% no, 2% curious to be honest. my curiosity is because of my penchant toward technology, but
thanks for the warming. I will be watchful and careful. peace.)

Fine with me. Just know that if I'm "forced" to be implanted, the thing will automatically be deactivated and will not work with me. Some of us have natural immunity to these things.
