Yes...God is powerless. Children die and/or are abused and tortured every day, and God stands by and pretends that it doesn't happen or, worse, just doesn't care.
God is aloof to the suffering in the world, especially when those who seek Him are suffering. God seeks to exploit this pain, and turn it to His advantage...is this the conduct of a loving and caring Creator?

You are never at the wrong place at the wrong time. You are at the exact moment you are suppose to be at all times. It is your conclusion that God should have saved them. You don't have to trust or believe that God can help or save you, although you can give him/her a chance and see what happens. Who says disasters are not part of God's plan? Look at what comes out of tragedies. It brings out the best and worst in people. It is just too bad that disasters, life tragedies, have to happen in order to bring out compassion in others and that there is more to this world than just me.

The ''church is a man made thing, invented to control the masses by a type of brainwashing and by fear.
''If you don't do this....this will happen to you'' etc.
The Jews were very religious and in the 30s and 40s millions were killed.
Where was god then??
I was raised into a ''belief'' system where you ask no questions and follow in blind obedience.
As you question this you get some very eye opening answers indeed.

YOU'RE WRONG. He is the Almighty. And the the guy who said He took them to heaven was right. Well if they were good. These things happen for a reason. Maybe He took them with Him because there are other more horrible things yet to happen to them and He didn't want them to experience such so He just took them when the disaster occurred.
And He already saved us. He saved everyone. He sent His Son to save us from our sins and the whole world would be in so much chaos than it is now if Jesus didn't come. You're thinking in a different perspective which is ''saving us from death''. Those people who died, they're not very far from us. They're always there watching over us and so is God. The people who lived, their deceased loved ones are watching them.
Faith saves us. The people who died who had faith in God, they were saved from a more twisted event. Little faith cannot save us, why must we question His power? Ask for love and grace because it will be enough to get us through the mishaps.

The simplest explanation is the most logical one - God could not save the people in that church because god is powerless, and god is powerless because there is no God.

Natural disasters are reminders of the power of God. Natural disasters are pictures of eternal separation from God. Natural disasters, as well as the absence of natural disasters, should encourage people to turn from sin and turn in faith to the Lord Jesus Christ.

You shouldn't ask things like that! Who are you to question God's plans for people? Things happen for a reason. God has already saved his church by sending Jesus Christ to be our Saviour and save us from our sins.
There have been worse things to happen to people who believe in God. He takes you when he wants you..........everyone dies it's a part of life. There are hundreds of ways to die.....this is just one of them. They all have the same ending result...death. Like I said things happen for a reason. It's tragic, yes, but if they have accepted Jesus Christ into their hearts and their lives......they are in a better place now. You need to read the BIBLE.

I am sorry. I have neglected my prayers. The ones that hold this planet together. I am sorry, people of Peru. I shall endeavor to be more consistent in my prayer life. Sorry Lord. I see your weariness, although your lips are sealed. Your Heart speaks to mine, and I have not responded.
