Because they both consider themselves to be Non-denominational. Is there a difference? or they're just the same.

The Church of Christ is a Basic church organisation similar to Methodis and Baptist. A Non-Denominational church could be any other with or without common Christian beliefs. Many Pentacostal churches that confess Jesus as lord and tech scripture are non-Denominational. but there are a lot of Bogus so called churches that preach whet they think the Bible said to their own advantage. If you go to a Non-Deniminational church and it preaches the bible openly and confesses Jesus as lord and God the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. I see no problems. Even then, some fo overboard. One sin does not send you to hell. For the bible tells us that all have sinned and fall short of his glory but the FREE gift is eternal life through Christ Jesus.

Many churches that call themselves "non-denominational" really mean they are "inter-denomination". I mean they simply weaken their doctrine so that it will not "offend" anyone. Those churches don't tend to teach much of anything that is controversial .

These churches wish to have "unity" by ignoring differences. But this is not really unity, even though there is a union or gathering together of people.

True Biblical unity is based on a standard of truth. Jesus prayed to the father, "Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. " (John 17:17) Then He prayed that all Christians "be one". (verses 20-21) True Biblical unity is when there is the acceptance of the word of God as the standard for doctrine (2 Tim. 3:16-17), and people follow that standard so they "all speak the same thing" and have "no divisions"! (1 Cor. 1:10) This is the type of unity the Church of Christ wishes to have.

While we should not try to be offensive, the truth sometimes will not meet men's desires. 2 Timothy 4:2-4 says, "Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables."

You will notice from this verse that "the word" should be preached when it is convenient to do so and when it is not convenient. Sometimes this word will not be popular.

Instead of speaking a vague doctrine to attract a variety of people and their beliefs, the Church of Christ wishes to speak where the Bible speaks, be silent where the Bible is silent, do Bible things in Bible ways, and call Bible things by Bible names. We wish to speak the truth in love, without compromising either truth or love. The two must go hand-in-hand!

When you have an established standard for your doctrine, there will be some who don't like it. When Christ spoke the truth, some became so angry that they killed Him, but we must speak the truth!

We believe the Bible is true! We, therefore, seek to have Biblical authority for all that we teach and practice. There is not one man-made doctrine we can add that will improve on what God has given! [In fact, adding to God's word, taking away from it, or distorting it is forbidden! (Gal. 1:6-9, Rev. 22:18-19, Deut. 4:2, Prov. 30:6, 1 Cor. 4:6, etc.)]

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek."

Don't be fooled by titles over the door.

Lots of "non-denominational" churches are really little denominations in themselves. Although they pride themselves are being non-denominational, they are just as denominational as the larger more established groups.

But there are thousands of churches that are truly non-denominational, that is, fully functioning while independent of any larger organization.

...first... "Christ" is not a person... it's a "title" like King or President or "Messiah"...(the chosen One) So... "they" may be a denomination... I'd suggest you "ask" what are their fundamental belief(s)... if they believe that Jesus is the Christ and follow the teaching of Gods Word without all the "religious" gymnastics, bells, smoke, trinkets and "stuff" that many "religions" do... then it looks like you've found a great place to worship God... (Hint...The Church of Christ is a great place to worship)... and so are "other" non-definitional Churches... watch out for the "religious" gymnastics !!!!!! when "they" start telling you things that don't line up with Gods Word..."run"... (here's an example... there is "one" particular faith that requires you call their "priests" father... that's nonsense... it is a direct violation of Gods Word... read Matthew, chapter 23 vs. 9...that's just one example)...
