No, silly, don't you know that all the evil and natural disaster that has ever afflicted the world was caused by one woman plucking a bit of fruit off a tree? That's obviously the sensible answer.

I believe he does. He is trying to get our attention through those "natural disasters". They are wake-up calls that no one seems to be answering. Thank God that he does throw in the sunsets and such as he doesn't have to and probably shouldn't at this point. I'm not a cynical person, just tired of the way this world is operating and calling itself God's Country.

YES THIS IS A TOUGH QUESTION. I would say that there is so much more beauty in the world (such as sunsets, living in general, the beach, good people, laughter, kindness, etc) then they are natural disaters. I know it is a tough concept to grasp..... but there are somethings that are out of our control unfortuantely. Just continue to pray and God will listen. Tell God how nervous/scarred you are. I am too! You will be ok.

Yea, those things are so phonominal. When it has an effect on people, it may not seem so cool, but they are truly unique acts of God. Have you ever seen a meteor, and aren't they cool to see? But if that meteor hit the earth, all of a sudden it wouldn't be cool. I guess that's the difference on how these natural things can seem. =>

What about people born with all sort of diseases, should we thank God for those too?
It is amazing how Christians use satan ,their scapegoat, to justify cruelty in the world.
You gotta pity their ignorance.

edit: from the answers above me I see their INSANITY,now they are happy that god sends hurricanes, they need to be stuck in one to see how happy they are going to be afterward

...you obviously don't know your Scripture very well do you...?
God is NOT the author of confusion or distruction... and remember what Jesus said to Pilot before he was put to death... Pilot asked Him... "so you say you are a king...Jesus answered, you say I AM... Pilot said, well, where is your kingdom... Jesus answered... My Kingdom is NOT of this World"... this is "our" World and God has given it to "us" to live in... with all it's good, bad and ugly... but there is a place... and in time you might have the privilege to experience it....
