You a actually don't need brown sugar follow this it will work out fine...

Preheat oven to 180 and leave in over for 15-20 minutes or untill the cookies are brown, golden and have a smell. It makes about 12 reasonably sized cookies.

Ingredients:
8oz Self Raising Flour
4oz Butter
4oz Sugar (Caster, but Grantulated is fine)
2 1/2 oz Milk
Teaspoon of Cinamon
4 oz Chocolate Chips

1.Pour the flour into the bowl adding a few cubes of butter at a time untill the mixture resembles Bread Crumbs.

2.Add the sugar

3.Add the chocolate Chips, stir with spoon

4.Slowly add the milk so that the mixture is not to runny,if it does become runny add some more flour.

5.add Cinnamon to the mixture

6.Butter down a tray lightly,(it prevents sticking)but also the trays used for little cake muffons are good as it sets in a nice shape.

I use this one it's yummy:

125g butter/marg
50g caster sugar (thouugh I use granulated and it doesn't make a difference
1 egg, beaten
150g self raising flour
175g chocolate

Beat the butter/marg and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the egg and beat thoroughly. Fold in the flour and chocolate.

Place teaspoons of the mixture on a baking tray and bake at 180o C (350oF) gas mark 4, for 15-20 mins until a nice golden colour
