Yes I'm still walking on my own two feet and I can get around, I'm not living in the streets and I have food to eat, I can pay my bills and run my car when i have to.
I'm not rich and have no money to speak of but yes I'm a happy man most of the time.
What more could you ask for.
You could be stuck in a wheelchair or a vegetable in a hospital bed, you could always be worse off then you are so thank God you're not and be happy with that.
So yes I have had my prayers and so have you since you seem to be healthy enough to post on YA.

People pray because it makes them feel better, not because it actually causes events to happen. I lost my faith about ten years ago, but when I did pray, I never had a prayer answered. After a while, I realized that I was just talking to myself.

no. the only way prayers get "answered" is if you ask for something inevitable, or if something coincidentally happens in spite of odds. all the indoctrinated religious buffs believe in godsend, while more lucid thinkers consider the probability of anything before deeming it a bona fide frickin' miracle. and as someone else said, it's a pretty selfish ideology to begin with. i get the feeling most god heads only go to church to "save themselves." forget self enlightenment.

I did not ask anything of the Lord when I prayed. Hm. Perhaps I shall next time (if only to give you a better answer) XD.

No - and funny enough is that Christians doesn't really know what praying is originally all about.

No, not at all - Was baptised Catholic, not by choice. But I'm not even agnostic, I'm atheist. (But not a preacher of it, either)
