Get another pdoc if yours is getting mad at you because what she prescribed isn't working. That's not cool. If the upped dose didn't work, try another SSRI. Of course, therapy should be part of the equation.

I know how you feel. I was on medication for awhile. I decided against using it, because I had the opposite problem. I felt the psychologist was trying to up my dosage above what I needed.
Anyway, I had problems with being medicated so I chose not to use it. It depends on the person. For some people I wouldn't recommend going off medication.
However, if it's not helping there may be other alternatives? I have made changes to what what causing extreme unhappiness in my life and that was a better option than medication. (What do doctors know anyway)

Counter these thoughts with positive thoughts. Forget about those who did damage to your life and think about the future, think about someone who will be there for you and mend the wounds of the past. Sometimes it's you will that can save you from the darkest times and not medicine. I say you should take a holiday somewhere and relax, throw away the stress. Relaxation is something that can take OCD away (personal experience). Be strong! :)

I know it's hard, but you just have to FORCE yourself to trust your abilities. Part of OCD is the inability to acknowledge your ability to act efficiently. For starters, KNOW that WHATEVER you do, there will always be a system of cause and effect, sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse. Everyone causes the same types of events to occur. You just happen to obsess over it to the extent that it becomes particularly significant on your part. I still suffer from bouts of OCD myself, but over the years I've trained myself to trust my abilities. So far NOT A SINGLE problem has arisen. Feel free to email me at ktownfarmboy@yahoo.com. I've had just about every measly kind of obsession/paranoia/thoughts. Nothing will sound strange to me. I'm willing to help out.

Whoa. Slow down. Do your doses. Keep at it.
Try some coffee. It always helps me relax. Yeah, I know, kind of backwards. (I'm bipolar).
Anyhow, get a second opinion from another doctor. Try looking for herbs that help. I use valerian to keep relaxed.
PROGRAM YOUR MIND! Get obsessive about being NOT obessive. Focus on some good thoughts. Get some cards with good thoughts on them. "Affirmations." When you notice your thoughts taking a trip without you bend them back where you want.
Check oy Dr. Wayne Dyer . He has some good stuff.
Things will get better.

mmm i think that if your doctor isnt listening and trying to help you in every possible way, you should change doctors
or if you like, try another two weeks but have a witness around when you take your medication so they wont think you're not taking them and then go back to your doctor

What sort of thoughts? You don't have to be totally specific just examples.
