Yes to both. I cheated during a rocky period. My guy and I were separated for 2 months and he didn't really make an attempt to keep in contact. So I strayed. I was honest with him about it and we hung on and tried to make it work out for another 2 years. But he changed. He was never as kind to me as he had been, and soon he became downright mean. It was as if he wanted me to do penance. Towards the end of it all he strayed as well. He didn't want to tell me that he had because my cheating had been something that he'd held over my head for so long, turning himself into the martyr and all during arguments. But when I found out that all along he'd been demonizing me and making himself a saint while he was running around with someone else, it was over. Perhaps it is a case of "what goes around comes around." I don't know. At any rate, it turned into an awful mess.

I don't know if I was cheated on or not. But I did have a brief relationship with another woman when married. It was great because my marraige was failing and she offered great physical and emotional comfort - Did it work out? - Yes because we did not get caught and she was a convincing factor to me that my love life was not over. Sounds bad, but it really was a blessing.
