Can i cross doubled yellow line if im exiting the driveway in NY?

Im so confused how ppl are saying it is legal to cross the yellow lines to go into a driveway.. but wat if you are exiting the driveway or a parking lot i would say and you cross the doubled yellow lines? I just got a ticket for this situation

If you got a ticket for doing this, then I will have to assume that you should not do that.

The exception is crossing to get into or out of a drive way.
