Violent behavior has nothing to do with how many "Gods" people believe in. One fact though, in religions, they have always BASED their beliefs to go AROUND the violence they wish to inflict on others generally excusing it as a WILL of one deity or another......

No its Evangelical religions that are typically violent.

Judaism, Bahi, Sikhism, and some forms of Hinduism are all monotheistic religions.

These religions are also non-Evangelical, which means they do not actively spread their religion to others. As such they have relatively peaceful histories.

Christianity and Islam which are Evangelical are much more violenet.

Men are violent period. In fact some of the worst tragedies of lost human life in the 20th century was due to communism which denies the authority of God altogether.

Monotheism doesnt generally advocate violence. It puts the focus on almighty creator God and advocates things like self-sacrifice, hard work, peace, brotherhood among believers, compassion for the lost and needy, and best of all, salvation.

Most of the polytheistic religions have either shorter lifespans, or fewer adherents. Some of them were pretty violent in their own right though...

Men are violent not their religion. So the number of dieties really doesn't matter.
