These days, a ring could mean anything, something, engagement or nothing at all. Maybe, he wants you to hold it for him until he comes back for it?

It means nothing at all...it's a gift. What would it mean if you gave him an earring that you wear all the time? Just a gift.

he loves you and hes comitted to you and the relationship take it as a sign of commitment like a promise ring but more special because he gave you somthing that was meaningful to him he didnt go out and buy it ! wow hold on to him plz because it takes a special guy to do that!
