Non-Christians to meet and be reconciled with Christ after they die?

After all, no enlighntened, educated Christian would tell you that a muslim baby or child who dies without hearing the Gospels would go to hell, would they?

So if you believe that God then has a plan for infants who die without being exposed to Christianity at all, then does that not open the door to other possibilities for the salvation of non-Christians?

Please forgive me for asking questions like this before this one. But this is an issue that I honestly struggle with, and I would love to hear answers for or against that offer and wisdom on the matter.

What do you think?

Let's not forget that Jesus went to Hell after being on earth. He did this to bring out souls who were already there before He came to save the world. That's how much God loves all the people he created. Does the story of Christ going to Hell not speak to the notion that God might choose to save non Christians who die without accepting Christ?

The people Jesus brought to heaven from "paradise" were the faithful who had already demonstrated their allegiance to God and his promised Messiah, by their participation in his old testament sacrifices and temple worship system.

The new covenant church is the higher and more perfect form of that system, that was founded by Christ, and left behind on the earth to guide all to salvation in him.

If anyone, through no fault of their own, never hears the Gospel, and never learns of Jesus, but somehow successfully cooperates with the grace that God provides to all, then that person might be saved.

But of this, there is no guarantee. Jesus remains the only judge.

The gospel message for today is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. You must be believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and repent ( see yourself as God sees you -a lost sinner covered in sin and going to Hell). Infants haven't reached the age of accountability, They don't understand sin. They don't have a comprehension of right and wrong-so they are saved from punishment of sin.
As you grow older-you naturally had conscience- no one had to teach you how to do wrong, it came naturally. The Holy Spirit will convict all sinners. Not all will accept Him, because no one has even sat down and told them about Jesus Christ. That is why it is so important for us to get off our lazy rears and spread the Gospel of grace.
Now as far as people being reconciled after they die, it is impossible. ( Read the story of rich man and Lazurus.) When the lost ( people without Christ ) die ,they automatically go to Hell.
The Great Commission for today is reconciling people to God through Jesus Christ. If you die in sin, there is no hope for reconcilation. Yes all men will believe in God after they die,but it will be too late.
Old Testament believers ( people who died before the cross) did not go to heaven when they died. They went to Abraham's bosom ( where Lazurus went) this place was close, but seperate from hell( where the rich man went). The blood hadn't been shed on the cross so they could not enter Heaven until their sins were washed away. They went to Abraham's bosom based on sacrfices and works-( the Bible says that the blood of animals such as bulls and calfs cannot not wash away sin)- their sacrfices were temporary payments. Jesus paid the final price. Jesus went to hell to retrieve the keys to death and hell. With those he went to Old Testemant believers held in Abraham's bosom and told them of the gospel of grace ( death, burial, ressurection) . Now their sins were completely paid for ( "IT IS FINISHED") and sins were completely washed away.
The non-believers in the Old Testament died and went to hell and stayed in hell. No one has ever escaped hell. No one ever will. Jesus was able to enter and leave because He is God.

It seams to me that you are coming at this question wanting a christian answer, therefore I will explain what the Bible teaches. I hope that's what you were looking for. Hebres 9 shows us that when we die we face a judgment. In Revelation we learn of the judgment spoken of. All those dead (without Christ and his eternal life) are judged by thier works. The bible is very clear in Romans 3 that there is none righteous and in Romans 6 that the penalty for our sin is death. God is a just God... he demands a punishment for our sin. Romans 5 shows us that Christ became that for us. Finally, John 3 and First John 5 make it clear that eternal life rests with those who HAVE or HAVE RECIEVED the only BEGOTTEN son of God, Jesus. No one goes to heaven for faithless rejection of the gift of eternal life, but for recieving what is freely offered to them now. All those who have not heard of Christ will be judged by thier works according to the law as it has been written in thier hearts... unfortunately you and I both know that the bible is true when it says "death passed upon all men for that all have sinned"

Condeming a person has never had a chance to hear is completely against everything the Bible says about the nature of God.

The only people who ever bring this up are atheists and agnostics.

Simple -- Babies don't understand the concept of sin and are not guilty until they do understand it. My children all came to Christ prior to their seventh birthdays, but one of them came to the Lord at the age of three.

Everyone knows that they are a sinner because God gave all of us a conscience. When we know we are doing wrong and we run against our conscience then we are guilty as charged and worthy of punishment. If my three year old knew he was a sinner in need of a Saviour, everyone in here who hasn't turned their life to Christ as Saviour is in need of repentance to receive eternal life.

It's proven that most people come to Christ before or shortly after their 25th birthday. The older people get the harder it is for them to repent because they have ignored the voice of God for so many years that they are in a spiritual rut of their own making that is hard to break out of.

Some people ask - what if they person didn't ever hear of the Lord because they were brought up different. I believe that God gives everyone equal chance to repent and turn to Him.
He has no favorites. Jesus has appeared to people without any Bible or preacher or any other person or thing and they testified that they saw Him, spoke to Him and received Him as their Saviour. It has happened numerous times, so that according to the scriptures "God is no respecter of persons."

This means that all are alike to Him - sinners needing Christ. He can reach out to them in ways we can't even imagine. He has unlimited resources and unlimited intelligence. The old song says. God moves in mysterious ways - His wonders to perform. I am thoroughly convinced of that.

My Friend, the answers you seek can be found in the Word of God, the Holy Bible. You should read it for yourself and that will help you determine the truth about your questions. (Starting with the New Testament is easier than starting with the Old.)

To simply have a lot of other peoples' opinions will never satisfy your thirst for knowlege and the truth.

May God bless you.

The message of the Gospel is for the living not the dead...once you die, you will no longer have the chance to become one of God's children..you made your choice in life and chose Satan over God......no turning back....

I know the gospels are suspect at best not for everyone and enlightenment lead me elsewhere.
I don't believe in mythical gods with plans contrived be=y men as psychological ploys for barbarians times .
If you truly want salvation then it's your duty to investigate the libraries of comparative religion and studies of ancient times through archealogical digs that are outside the narrow scope of information availed to you by formal religion steeped in centuries of superstition and lies.get out of the box and free your mind .
peace
