I knew all along that Jr would not be keeping the 8. The car # always stays with the owner of the car, not the driver. Mark Martin didn't cry because he left the #6 after 20 years, why should Jr have been treated differently??
yes, it's time for a new start & a new number. I hope Jr does well next year but I will never be a fan of hendricks motor sports...

Once he leaves DEI, the number '8' will lose value for DEI. To be honest, it might as well become a collector's item and be done with [i.e. - 'retired' just like Dale Sr...who would even think of using the number '3' or '8' ever again...come on, use some common sense here] for good. The next number Dale Jr. chooses will become HIS own identity and HE will market that number better than DEI managed his racing career, in my opinion.

He's better off leaving everything behind at DEI. The team, the #8... he even needs to leave Tony Eury Jr behind. Go some place new and start all over. Change is good and sometimes for the better. He will be happy at HMS even if he gets stuck with the #5.

I'd bet on the #08
Otherwise, I think he could talk Rudd out of the #88, and there's always a chance the 50-something Rudd won't be back anyway.
#80 could be another one.
It's also not a stretch to think with Junior being a Redskins fan, that he'll pick the number of a favorite great receiver- like say the #81 of Art Monk.

Out of the two it must be Dibiase merely with the aid of fact he has somewhat had an excellent gamble to tutor himself as a singles wrestler, purely a handful spring to strategies, and yet he has been observed as ending the streak. Now I even have suggested in the previous Ted Dibiase could be a installation person to retire The Undertaker with the aid of fact of his father being the single to introduce him yet i suggested in some years time whilst Ted Dibiase has had an excellent gamble to EARN that honour however the streak could stay to tell the story continuously, Dibiase could be installation to end the occupation... no person is nice to end the streak. John Morrison has a minimum of been exhibiting progression as a wrestler over some years with the aid of fact that his not easy adequate days. Is John Morrison waiting to be a worldwide champion? No, he's not even close perfect now. merely with the aid of fact he's cocky and flashy would not make him the subsequent HBK. Shawn Michaels proved his rather well worth the 2d he broke from The Rockers, Morrison struggled after MNM. Morrison isn't the comparable point as Michaels. merely based on the fact Dibiase hasn't been wrestling 5 years entire yet and has somewhat had an excellent gamble to tutor his well worth on his very own, Dibaise is extra hyped up.

Next year has GOT to be better...A number is just a number. He did say he's looking at numbers in the 80's, he wants to keep an 8 in it for his fans, but wants to pick something he likes. Fresh start either way.
Go JR.>>>>>

It really shouldnt matter what number is on his car or who his sponsor is. Junior is going to be Junior no matter what. Fans should care about the driver a little more and a little less about what number he is going to drive.

It is official now he will not drive the #8 Budweiser chevy next year. So he will probably be in something with an 8 in it but not Budweiser on it
