Why are people so mean when it comes to that? My boyfriend is black and im white and everytime people see us out in public they are sooo mean. And we love each other so much. But if they look at us that way how are they gonna look at our kids? My boyfriend tells me not to worry about it but if my family found out, they would "disown me". And it hurts because when we have kids my family wouldnt love them. What should i do?

If your family loves you, then they will accept your relationship with him. Black, white, red, or yellow, he still bleeds red, and he's a human. And plus, interracial couples make the cutest babies. How could you NOT love them? It's despicable that in 2007 we still have racial prejudice. Live your life and love your man, you can't choose who your family is, but you do choose who you spend the rest of your life with. Good luck

I wouldnt worry about what people in public think and im sure once you actually got married and had kids that your family would love them. If you really feel that way for each other then you should stay together.

Unfortunately, your parents are more old fashioned and does not really approve of interracial relationships. At some point later on, you're going to have to let them know but assure them that he is a great guy. Have him over your house and show your parents how great of a person he is and that the color of the person's skin is trivial. Just don't go off running together, that'd be a bad idea. Just take some time and let your parents accept him. They can't be ignorant forever.

Alot of people are stuck in the past. Most of our parents and grandparents went to mostly segregated schools and what not. They didnt grow up around all groups of people and understand that we are all just humans and skin color don't mean a thing.

Blood is thicker than water. So leave your boyfriend. And get together with a pasty white boy.
