This can happen in almost any place; since you've been here many times and had a good time it was probably just a coincidence.
One question though; did you ask the manager to do something about it sooner, and did he neglect to do so, or did you just sit there and wait for the manager to do something of his own accord? If you did complain and nothing happened, then perhaps you should consider a different hotel, but if you didn't say a thing... well, the party folks were paying customers too and maybe the manager thought no one minded since no one said anything. You should always let people know if you're unhappy... (okay, not at every single sound at 9PM, but when it gets late at night, speak up).

I would go back you said you had many great experiences. Also the manager did finally come up and tell them to quiet down so they was trying to do their job. Its not the hotels fault that the people paying for a room was having a party per say and if its a wonderful place why not? mabey you went at a time a bunch of kids was just wanting to have some fun before school or such so No need in knocking the hotel for bad judgment or so forth they didnt know that would happen and im sure they didnt want it to happen and if thats the only bad thats happened before then your way lucky!! Best of luck in your choice and Enjoy your next vacation

Yes, if you had many enjoyable previous visits. The cause of the ruckus is not the hotel's fault, you just got unlucky to have a suite next to them. The problem should have been resolved sooner than 3am (which is the hotel's fault), but can you really blame them? It is in the middle of the night and they are tired and dont want to deal with a bunch of party animals. Give the hotel one more chance, because odds are you got unlucky that time, and it won't happen again. It was just dumb luck

It isn't the hotel's fault, really.
I used to work the graveyard shift at a hotel, and I've dealt with noise complaints. And goodness knows I have sent security to the offending room repeatedly in unsuccessful attempts to get the brats to knock it off. The offenders were teens on prom night. Zero manners or consideration.
If there's a noisy party in one room, sometimes all the hotel management can do is to try to get the offenders to quiet down, but that doesn't always work. But someone has to call them and say, hey, room XX is really, really loud, can someone ask them to be a little quieter.

A lot depends on when you complained about the noise. The hotel can't solve a problem if they don't know about it. If you complained about it early on and they didn't address it until 3 AM, then I would have a problem with management and would expect a discount, especially if I were a regular visitor.
Would I go back? If there were no previous problems and I really liked the place, I would give it a second chance--but I would be very specific with the hotel about my room placement. And remind them of the previous incident.

Of course you should go back. It was the hotels fault for not regulating the problem and if it happens again on your return visit, then you have the right to decide if this place is worth your money. I think if you have liked this place in the past then you should not be swayed by one bad experience. Speak to the management and perhaps because your family frequently uses this establishment, they will treat you with kid gloves, because frankly they won't want to lose your patronage.

I would have started complaining about 10 at night and if the management did not respond and make them stop I would have demanded to be moved. Write a letter and explain that you are regular customers and you are thinking of going somewhere else next time. Ask them what they think you should have done? They might comp you a night next time!

yes but go up to a different room. it wasnt the hotels fault, this could happen at any given place and time. the only hotels or motels you shouldnt go are the ones where people have made sex tapes like cough...paris hilton...cough

yeah its not the hotels fault. if the manager asked them to stop, then i think it is pretty obvious that they are trying. do not let one experience like that ruin the hotels name in your family.
