ok i got a zenith data system from 85 it runs at 4.77mhz snd i think has 286k of ram now its a portable with lcd screen with backlight now with dios could i run windows 2.0 or somthing o please don,t tell me to buy new computer jut tell me dos versions i just want to use computer fr fun and need a OS

Thinking back, I had a tandy and was running DOS 5.0, now, with that much ram (because I had 16mb) you should be able to run DOS 6.x. Off the top of my head, I don't remember the requirements for 2.0, but I do know that you can't run 3.xx.

WOW! I remember those. It's kind of fun restoring and running some of that old hardware.
To the best of my memory, we used MS-DOS 3.3. It may be able to use later versions.

You might want to look into FreeDOS

It can run on a 4.77 Mhz processor (can't remember the RAM), although it might be a tiny bit slow.

MS-Dos 3.1 came out about the same time as your computer was made, but you could try MS-Dos 5.0.
