Make food for after-service meal called Oneg, or I clean up after Oneg. Sometimes I also get to read from Torah during service... I love it!

I run a homeless ministry for families and women. I have my own church. I received my calling from the 58th chapter of Isaiah. Read it, it will change the way you get involved in the ministry around your church or you might just start your own ministry. God bless.

Living a Christian life and becoming involved ministry or apostolate goes beyond the church walls. People have to get out and expand the opportunities to serve God and people, the actual things that need to be done inside a church on Sunday are limited. They need to be done, but not everyone there can participate. Your question seems baiting, in finding fault. If not, please clarify.

I'm a lay Elder in my Church responsible for overseeing the needs of 12 families. If any of these families have needs (such as unable to pay a month's rent, or there is an illness in the family, or needing spiritual refreshment) I coordinate to meet those needs. As an Elder I can also give blessings when asked, but the father is generally given first dibs on that duty.
