Solar panels come in all sizes and wattage ratings. Try an internet search on "solar panel." There are zillions of companies selling them on line, and they will give you the information you need.

It is better to ask how much solar you need to wipe out your electric bill and give the kWhs and your location. The location is needed to lookup the Peak Sun hours for your area. In the USA you can get depending on where you live 3 to 7 hours of peak sun per day. If you get 5 peak sun hours and install 5,000 watts in solar modules you should get 25,000s or 25 kWhs. There is always a power loss because of heat and the inverters use electric to run. And you did not say if you wanted a grid tied system or a battery backup system or even a standalone system.

I built these how to pages just because this question is always getting ask over and over.

Panels vary in size and capacity.
Most residential units are about 80-120 W. per panel.
( Don't count on this output for more than 3-4 Hr.s per day on average).

Depends on the size and construction of the panels.
They range from 8 watts to 1000 watts.
The higher the wattage , the more they cost. check out ebay.
