The obvious choices here would be RealPlayer, Windows Media Player, and Quicktime. However, like a previous answer said, you may find an even better Media Player at download.com

Windows media player 11 is good program and I recommend it.

First, if your program that has a problem is windows media player, you have to uninstall it before you reinstall it.
To do that Follow this instructions:
Click Start ~> click Control Panel ~> click add or remove program (if you don't see that icon, click "switch to classic view" at left) ~> Go down the list and find "windows media player" ~> click it and click remove.

Second, to download a new windows media player goto the link below. download it and install it.

It is really good and simple media player I think.

I hope I helped!!!!!!!

you can try upgrading your Windows Media Player to 11
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/11/default.aspx
Or it also sounds like you have a corrupted Video Codec
you can fix it by installing this http://codecpack.nl/klmcodec225.exe which has every available codec in it and will install them automatically. and yes it's free. If you need help with the codec pack just shoot me a message.
