yes!!!! you mean do they know they are being "silly", yes!! Not all cats do it....but I have had several that do....and one kitten at the moment that is that way....she'll jump into the basket I let her play with, and I will say "what are you doing".....and she will lean her head over the edge upside down and just stay there till I go pet her....she knows when she is doing something funny that gets my attention, she repeats it....I can say "what are you doing" and she will flip on her back and want her belly rubbed. Some cats just have that silly personality.....

Oh lord yes. I tell my cats jokes all the time and they talk back. I have two siamese and they are chatty patties anyway. They also like to torture the dog across the street from the window. When he starts going nuts trying to get them (we live in a second floor apartment, so good luck to the dog, lol) they run around the house making a purring mewing noise that sounds like they have a bad case of the giggles!!!!

Oh, absolutely!!! I swear I've seen our cats smile, roll around
and just about hoot.
We got a male duck-- a drake--from our son, to keep our
female duck company. Our son's puppy (a huge galufalump;
50 lbs.!) spotted the ducks, and was going to chase them.
She snuck up, thought she was cool--- and the drake turned
around and chased her all over the yard.
The cats were in the window laughing their tails off, no
kidding. Such humour on their faces!!!

It's not even a question, of course they do. They can think, they know cause and effect, they play, they have a sense of humor.

Haha oh yes they do...I believe cats have more humor than dogs or us sometimes...My newest member of the family plays tricks on me all the time..

I have some pictures of them being goody but they need to be resized first..

But here are some of the things they do..

Gyspie is a very small cat and she weighs 7lbs..Charlie is a maine coon and weighs 19 lbs..When Gypsie is bored and tries to play with me and I dont feel like it..she will get mad and tackle Charlie's fat butt to the ground and start biting him and kicking him...which is really a funny sight since she is tiny and he is HUGE!

She also loves to clean...so when she feels like cleaning Charlie..again she will tackle his butt to the ground..hold him in place and lick him...and when he tries to move she bites his ear and kicks him to make him stay still...lol I need to get a video of it ^ ^

Gypsie also likes Strawberry sobe...and when I try to give her a different drink...she takes her paw and slaps it off the table like, " Pah lease! I am so not gonna drink that stuff...Where the hell is my sobe!?"

Oh and finally...whenever there is any source of plastic laying around..like a treat bag or the toilet paper bag..She graps it up in her mouth and carries it into my room and leaves it on the floor...I seriously wake up with like 3 dog/cat treat bags...and the bag with 10 toilet paper rolls in it and my mom screaming for toilet paper...ugh..

My cat pretends to eat plastic wrappers that she pulls out of the garbage to get me to feed her and she'll knock things off the table one at a time- stop-give me a look-do it again- the look she gives me out of the corner of her eye while she does this is pure fun- another one will give me a playful smack when I walk past him- they know its a joke-their eyes sparkle when they do these things.
