Hi. I read your other question, and want to say that no one on the Internet can diagnose you. What you described, however, sounds like it could be serious. You need to tell your parents and see a doctor very soon. Doctors do not tell schools or employers about medical conditions. They will talk to you, your parents, and other doctors if necessary. That's it. What will affect your future is not getting a check up now.
You may have something else happening, so don't freak about schizophrenia right now. Yes, it is serious. There is medication that can help, a lot of different meds actually. Many can live normal lives with medication - school, work, family, etc. It is a progressive illness without treatment. Whether you have that or something else, the key to a good future is dealing with it now. This is one to not be a kid about. You do need to see a doctor. Period.

Whoa.........Let's come at your question from a different angle.
The way a person finds out that they have schizophrenia
is by going to the Dr.
The Dr. takes a look at your life, your patterns, your problems, your strengths, how you treat others, and how others treat you.
The Dr. makes an Educated Diagnosis of which disorder you might have.
A person with schizophrenia is going to have problems
that DO EFFECT life and school and job and relationships
BECAUSE the illness is something you cannot control. There are times when you will act and think more like an average person, and there will be patterns that keep returning where your thoughts and behavior are way outside of normal.
Everyone WILL KNOW because you cannot control it on your own. It will not go away. It will be with you for your whole life. There is no cure, but there is hope you can control it if you are properly treated with medication.
BUT, If you go to a Dr. and cooperate with the treatment, taking your medication everyday, whether you feel back or good, then then less people will know you have a problem.
You will - with medication - act more and think more normal. You will have more normal days. And when it does cycle back around, it should be less disruptive to your life than if you were not taking the medication the Dr. prescribed.
When you see a Dr., your condition is confidential. He will advise you on who YOU should inform that you have this disorder. You will be advised on how to address it with your school and your work. For your safety someone will need to know of your illness, but not everyone. If you need accommodations to be able to do your work, then you will need to have a Dr.'s note, stating your disability, and what accommodations might be necessary in order for you to compete with other healthy people.
Now, are you really sure you don't want to see a Dr.?

How do you know if you have schizophrenia if you haven't seen a doctor?
Schizophrenia is not curable but it can be managed with medication.
No, when you see a doctor, it isn't anybody's business except you, your doctor and your insurance company. You have a legal right to privacy and your school or work don't have to know about it if you don't want them to.
You have it backwards; it's the symptoms of the illness you should be worried about, not seeing a doctor. Not being treated is more likely to cause problems with school or work than being treated.

if you don't have major symptoms then i don't think you're schizophrenic, schizophrenia is the face of madness, they usually can't control themselves much less type. I've never heard of schizo light. Sometimes you may be suceptible because your parent had it but it lays dormant, hopefully never to happen. It's not curable but you are not qualified to diagnose yourself anyway. No one will know if you see a doctor unless you tell them.
a mental condition does not even classify as a mental problem unless it interferes with your life and makes you unhappy.

anything you tell your doctor is NOT going to be told around, it is completely and totally private, so you dont need to think that everyone will know. cause no one will, unless YOU tell them!
if you have this disease, you need your meds. period. every day. no matter HOW good you feel. or you will get worse. I mean it. I know, my mom had it, and living with her was HELL when it was bad...
it is NOT curable without meds. everyone WILL know if you dont take your meds. think about it !!!
and listen to HelloKitty, she sounds like she knows what she's talking about !!!

Schizophrenia is not curable. But it is controllable with extensive anti-psychotics.
Many people will all kinds of schizophrenia live normal lives and no one is aware that they have it.
If I may ask, what are your symptoms? Catatonia? Hallucinations and delusions?
It could just be schizotypal personality disorder too though.

Very bad. You must see a Dr. and take meds or it will get worse. No one will know. The Dr must keep it confidential.
