I find lately all I do is just sing to him,I try to serve him. I find, no matter how much, or long I pray....nothing changes. But my anger for rightousness is still there.

Yes it it important to worship him with your heart when singing. Remember it is not just saying you believe in God that matters. What is the most important thing is really having a personal relationship with him. So when you sing, put some love into it. Let him know how you are thankful to have the hurts and pit falls that life throws at you. If it wasn't for the bad times, we would not be appreciative for the good times. I will say a prayer for you tonight to help you with your struggling time of seeking answers and change and a closer relationship.

Try calling on the name of the Lord a few times 'Oh Lord Jesus" before you start praying , and ask Him to forgive you for your sins and wash you with His precious blood. I know you will feel a huge difference. It says that His true believers will worship Him in spirit and this is the best way to contact our spirit.

My husband was in a rock band for years before we got saved and I am a Gospel songwriter,,,,so music is very important to us...I think you can worship God just fine in song....especially if you are raising your arms to Heaven and really sincerely meaning the words you are singing...However, don't neglect your prayer life...
Not sure what you mean by "anger" for righteousness.. If you mean desire, I am with you ....
Psalm 100 says:
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs...
Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.

trail coming your way brother.the lord NEVER said life would be fair.some sin in your life you need to get rid of? or some forgivness. ALL christians go through a testing time.just remember this jesus is at your hearts door waiting for you with open arms,loving you no matter what.
