No, I wake my dog up several times when I feel he is having a bad dream and he licks me and gets up re situates and goes back to sleep. I have done this with EVERY dog I have ever owned, and I used to breed and train labs, so I do not believe it is true. The only thing I can think of, is that if the dog has SERIOUS heart issues.

No that isn't true. I wake up my dogs all the time when they're having a nightmare. They just look at me dazed and confused then usually go back to sleep.

Not unless they have a heart attack, which could happen anytime so, basically NO
I always wake my dog during a nightmare, I hate when I get them, I don't want her to suffer from them so I wake her up and then she kisses my whole face lol!

Not unless the dog has severe heart problems.
But you could get bitten yourself.

False. Don't expect your dog to be happy to see you, though.
