What do you think about the ACLU?

I think they are a bunch of nutty lawyers always taking the other side. They will defend a drug dealer, child molester, wife beater, anything.....there is nothing about them protecting anybody's civil liberties except a criminal.

Everyone says the ACLU is bad. I used to have the same attitude until I looked at some of the things that they are fighting against. They are fighting against warrantless wirtapping, the Patriot Act, Real ID Act, and are trying to get the Habeaus Corpus reinstated. These are things that should concern every American due to the fact the they violate the Consitution. Granted that I may not agree with them on every issue, but every organization has good and bad things about it. I personally don't think that it is that bad of a organization, and not as bad as everyone makes it out to be.

The ACLU is for everyone EXCEPT Americans. They should be disbanded and thrown out of the country. The residents of Hazleton, PA would agree with me. They tried to do something about the illegal immigrant situation and the ACLU sued them.

This country doesn't have many bigger enemies than the ACLU. Where were they for the "patriot act?"

I think they stick their noses in too many places that they don't belong. They have a twisted way of thinking. Most of their efforts are for all the wrong things and reasons. They would like anarchy to prevail. They waste too much of the tax payers' money in the pursuit of frivolous law suits and waste too much of the courts' time and space!
