This only recently began happenning and I have no clue why- When I put my memory card in my computer and try to view the photos I get an error message that says "The disk cannot be written to because it is write protected. Please remove the write protection from the volume in drive /Device/Harddisk1/DR2" sometimes it's DR4 or DR6. I've tried messing with the lock on my memory card but it doesn't seem to do anything. How can I fix this and why is it happenning?

I think you gotta put your memory card into your camera and change it from there! If not go to the drive on my computer and remove the write protected. You can also save the photos to another file and view from there.

When was the last time you formated your card? You actually need to do that on a regular basis maybe once every other month. Try going to your card directly through my computer rather than the normal software that you use.

What does your camera's Owners Manual say about this? Have you checked it?
